The Goldwater Institute watchdog group is scrutinizing a proposed $17 million fee the city of Glendale is ready to pay prospective Phoenix Coyotes owner Greg Jamison to help him buy the team from the National Hockey League.
That includes possibly pushing for that $17 million arena management fee earmarked for Jamison in the city budget to be opened up to other bidders.

Hawaiian Electric Co. said Wednesday that the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission has approved an additional three-year biodiesel contract with Renewable Energy Group for HECO’s Campbell Industrial Park Generating Station.

Delta Airlines will be closing its reservations call center near SeaTac Airport on Sept. 1.
The center's 189 employees were notified of this decision on April 10, and they will be offered other positions within Delta, company spokesman Morgan Durrant said.
"It’s just a skill set that we will continue to need to serve our customers," he said.
If employees choose not to take those other positions, Delta has severance packages available to them, Durrant added.
