Product videos can help you sell more products from an e-commerce website. Compared to the static product images, a video can explain the features and benefits of a product more convincingly and encourage customers to click on the call-to-action button.

1. Static images only show what a product looks like, not how it works in reality. Using videos, you can demonstrate to your customers its working mechanics and convince an audience that your product will fulfill their requirements.
2. Videos can work like a salesperson and describe the features and benefits of your products. Create a video ad that can compel your customers to watch it till the end.
3. Some electronic items, like software and laptops, can be complicated and customers can often fail to understand how they can be used. If you sell electronic gadgets from your site, provide instructional videos for each product for ease of understanding.

- Overlaying – Clicking on the ‘play’ button will open an overlay window atop the product page. Unlike embedding however, viewers must close the overlay window to buy the product.
- Separate URL – Embed a separate URL in the product page so that when viewers click on it, a new tab opens and the video appears. Problem is, if customers leave your site to watch a video, they may never come back again.
Using interactive and media rich product videos, you can explain the USP of your products efficiently and increase your profit margin.
